We supported Brazil in the implementation of its National Drug Policy. The support is aimed at strengthening the National Drug Observatory and demand reduction through the country’s participation in three working groups.

Strengthening the National Drug Observatory
Drug demand reduction
- 1 national research network led by the National Drugs Observatory of Brazil to strengthen the national system of information and research on drugs.
- 1 Scientific Committee on Drugs to systematically advise the Observatory.
- 1 violence and addiction prevention project aimed at children and young people living in two communities in Fortaleza with a high level of social vulnerability.
- 1 project for the prevention, care and social reintegration of people in vulnerable situations and with problematic consumption of alcohol and other drugs in two communities in the State of Ceará.
Reducing drug supply
National implementation of the ‘Guidelines to jointly address situations in which women and LGTBIQ+ trafficked persons are involved in the production, transit or commercialisation of drugs’, generated in the framework of COPOLAD’s support to AIAMP.
